I was fortunate enough to dine with him and other photographers from National Geographic. It was an unforgettable night. There were so many interesting discussions going on, I was mesmerized.

Wow. I totally couldn't access my blog for nearly 3 weeks. I can't apologize enough, I'm really sorry.
I was in Bodrum where the sun shines brightest and stars are scattered over the mesmerizing night sky. And where the internet connection is really bad. I could say this was the summer of my life :) Although it was wonderful I missed home A LOT. And now I'm back.

So it was about time that I posted my artwork which was in the karma show. This was in june and my concept was Pink Floyd (such a shock). I had one large painting, two couture dresses, four graphic t-shirts and a little photography section which was irrelevant to Pink Floyd.

Heyaa so I just came to my hotel in Palo Alto, California. It's amazingly beautiful here, seriously. We rented a car and my family and I will road-trip to Los Angeles. I'll be back in Istanbul in 10 days.

Yes, this post is another apology for the lack of posts. I feel like a cheater, sorry bloggy but I've been really busy with my assignments. I'm still in RISD but unfortunately it's ending in a week :( As much as I miss my family, friends and bed I want to stay here.
Anyways that's not the point! I just finished my self-portrait for design foundations. I made a collage of my face with newspaper and for the background I wrote my favorite lyrics on tracing paper and glued it. It's currently drying.

This is Acacia, the sweetest girl you could ever meet. She's a local and I know her from my pre-college program. On sunday she took us to a festival called Liberty Fest and we had an amazing time. We saw a lot of interesting people among many hipsters :)

We listened to performances and I must say, they were pretty good.

I met this cool drummer. We talked and he suggested a few singers and bands to me. Now he had swag.

OH MY LORD. I love it here, hence the lack of posts.
I still need to get a new battery for my camera boo :(
Ok so what have I been up to? Well I have design foundation on monday, art history on tuesday, drawing foundation on wednesday and my major, which is animation, on thursday and friday.
I'm really enjoying animation. It's extremely difficult but I'm loving it so far.

We've pretty much been exploring Providence. It's a really nice city, not that crowded but a lot to do. for example we went to see Young the Giant tonight, at Waterplace. I'll post one of their songs on my other blog in a minute.

Anyways I'm alone in my dorm now, just hanging by myself oh and Guns N' Roses.

I bought new domos, a "The Who" shirt, Pink Floyd, Star Wars and Chuck Norris posters, a bunch of DVDs, junk food and nail polish.

Oh and this pencil case that looks like a vinyl. Yup.

Hehe this was yesterday when I was trying to dye my friends hair.

Hey peeps!
I'm at Rhode Island School of Design a.k.a RISD and it's wonderful! I'm in the pre college program and my major is animation. I have internet access nearly all the time but I also have a dead camera so until I find battery you will just have to bear my laptops crappy cam :)
My classes start tomorrow so todays basically another lazy day. I've to buy a cell phone, battery and supplies. I'll be roaming around the city looking for stuff.

Tuesday was my birthdaay :) I celebrated with all of my friends with a big party saturday night and a couple of us went out tuesday night and had the most amazing time! It was really fun.

Friday night my cousin threw a beach party and I took loads of photos.

I'm going to summer school next week...

Shouldn't be this happy. They won the elections again.

We thought underage-drinking was a huge issue, now it has turned to underage-comic-buying.

The headlines aren't objective, which is so terrible in this so-called republic.

53% of the country has voted for them.

In the 22nd of august they will start to filter the internet. God knows what will happen to this blog, and any other.

Their own lectures contradict with themselves.

These idiots and scumbags are running OUR country, the very country many young soldiers died for. The very country many mothers cried for. The country that was once independent, beautiful and serene.

No lightbulb can ever lighten my, our country as the crescent moon and star does.

We will never lose hope. Doing so would mean that the blood on the ground in 1919 is wasted, the tears shed by heroic mothers and courageous women are wasted, the altruistic actions of young soldiers are wasted, the importance of our flag is meaningless and this country is not worth fighting for.

But it is not. And they are not.

My close friends' cousin got married last week and the wedding was absolutely lovely. It was filled with so much emotion and memories, it touched me :) Anyways I had the amazing time with my cousins.
